Who We Are
Mission: To prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by the disease.
The American Diabetes Association is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing and curing diabetes, as well as improving the lives of people affected by it. Founded in 1940, the ADA focuses on advocacy, education, research, and community support. They fund groundbreaking research for treatment advancements, provide resources for diabetes management, and promote policies that ensure access to healthcare. The ADA also raises public awareness about diabetes through campaigns, educational programs, and events like the annual Tour de Cure fundraiser.
What We Do
The ADA works to advance research, raise awareness, and provide resources for managing and preventing diabetes. We also advocate for policies that ensure equitable access to healthcare and supports individuals through education and community programs. Our efforts are aimed at reducing the impact of diabetes and enhancing the quality of life for those living with it.
