Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority

Mission: To enrich the lives of our community by providing quality recreational activities, programs, and facilities that promote health, wellness, and excitement in the residents of Howell and surrounding areas.

Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority serves the social, recreational, health, and educational needs of the residents of Howell and the surrounding areas.

Programs include the Howell Senior Center, serving adults aged 50 and beyond, and also the HIVE, Howell Teen Center, serving the needs of local teens. Both programs were under the auspices of the City of Howell until July 1, 2008, when the Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority chartered as an independent organization.
