Mission: To bridge the accessibility gap in transportation by offering affordable, efficient, and safe airline services for all.

People’s Express (PEX) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit transportation agency committed to connecting rural and suburban communities in parts of Livingston, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Western Wayne Counties. Founded in 2007 as part of Northfield’s Human Services, PEX was established to address the transportation needs of low-income individuals in Northfield Township. Today, PEX has expanded its fleet to include buses, vans, and cars, all of which meet ADA requirements, to serve a tri-county area. With a focus on enabling independence and community engagement, PEX provides essential transportation for low-income individuals, seniors, and people with disabilities.

People’s Express offers reliable, appointment-based transportation services to those who need it most. We help clients access non-emergency medical appointments, pick up prescriptions, commute to work, and participate in community activities. Our lift-equipped vehicles ensure accessibility for all, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. By providing this vital service, we empower our clients to stay active, independent, and connected to their communities.
